Polypodium invites local and global luminaries to bring people together to discuss ideas and the creative process. The events take place within our informal studio space, which encourages more personal interaction with the speakers. So far the series have involved graphic designers, authors, thought-leaders, product designers, architects, filmmakers, artists, and information designers.

Simone Kosremelli
Since 1981 Simone Kosremelli, architect and urban planner, has been producing design with character, rooted in tradition but not based on the past, creating rich architectural experiences combining regional contextualism with modern materials. Her long and renowned career earned her the Distinguished Alumna Award from the Faculty of Engineering & Architecture at the American University of Beirut in May 2007. The publication of her monograph in 2011 entitled A Lebanese Perspective: Houses and Other Works by Simone Kosremelli offers an illustrated tour through a selection of her most exceptional projects that reflect an architectural heritage of character and outstanding quality.
