Polypodium invites local and global luminaries to bring people together to discuss ideas and the creative process. The events take place within our informal studio space, which encourages more personal interaction with the speakers. So far the series have involved graphic designers, authors, thought-leaders, product designers, architects, filmmakers, artists, and information designers.

If you have any suggestions for a speaker, or to book a spot for upcoming events, please drop us a note at connect@polypod.com.lb or join the Polypodium Facebook page.

Polypod Creative Series Presents
Faek Homaissi

Wednesday 14 March 2012 at 19:00

On Wednesday 14 March 2012 Polypod is pleased to host mime artist Faek Homaissi, founder of the Mime and Pantomime movement in Lebanon. Combining his research on body language and gestural expressions with structural analysis of meter-based arts such as poetry and dance, Faek has developed a unique system of composition and style in mime theater. Faek will share his story, theories, and techniques in mime theater both in Lebanon and abroad, with a screening of a short performance. A key learning will be to discover the magic of silent communication.

Note: Faek will speak in Arabic.
